EVIL LURKS IN THE MOST UNLIKELY PLACES.
The town of Bringham—once a peaceful, God-fearing community, suddenly and abruptly finds itself in a crisis.
Strange things are happening which defy logic even in the slightest sense of the word. Yet, one resident has seen the devastation before-hand and knows that if something isn't done quickly to eradicate the evil that is upon them, the town they know and love will be a distant, tragic memory.
What no one can possibly fathom is that the seemingly pious and good-natured may be the reason the darkness has found its way to Bringham in the first place.
As you pay close attention to this story, each episode will bring you closer and closer to the truth.
The Guru's Review:
This is the first writing from this author. It was a free download from Amazon.
I had planned to read this over the coming weekend, but when I downloaded it to my kindle, I decided to have a browse. I should have not done so, as from the first page, it hooked me in and the set the pace for the remainder of the 74 pages. I ended up finishing it in one sitting of an hour.

I understand that this is the first episode and episode 2 is being released next week. In this first episode, the author sets the scene for what is to come. She introduces the main character, Marie Adams, and her gift of dream premonition. Apparently, in her past, what she had dreamed came to pass and not with nice outcomes. In this opening scene, she dreams of an evil overtaking her town and controlling people resulting in them killing themselves.
Over the course of 24 hours following her dream, her town has these so called suicides and other serious crimes, such as armed robbery, rape. The author effectively sets the foundation that this evil is demonic, is not demonic possession as such, but more like demonic oppression. Marie seems to be the only one with this conviction and so far there is no hint as to why this evil has descended upon this town, so the suspense is effectively laid down here. I can see that future episodes will expand this theme and plot line. I look forward to this.

Taylor introduces what seems a major plot line with her estranged family and I wonder if this has something to do with the presence of this evil, or is it just a plot line to balance out the main theme and develop the characters of Marie, David and Amy, her immediate family? Time will tell, or should I say, episodes will tell!
I am looking forward to Taylor introducing more of the spiritual side to this story, notably from a biblical worldview. So far, I am pleased with what I have read despite the fact that the only spiritual aspects are that the evil is demonic and a few references to living and treating people according to God's standard as outlined in the Bible.

A very easy read with some promising plot lines laid down for further development. I am looking forward to seeing the horror elements developed and the countermeasures to deal with this, hopefully from a biblical worldview and perspective. Bring on the spiritual warfare!
Strongly Recommended.
